Filming Smokey and the Bandit (1977)

This photo was taken on the set of the film Smokey and the Bandit (1977). It is an American action comedy film starring Burt Reynolds, Sally Field, Jackie Gleason, Jerry Reed, Pat McCormick, Paul Williams and Mike Henry. This film was the directorial debut of stuntman Hal Needham. It inspired several other trucking films, including two sequels, Smokey and the Bandit II and Smokey and the Bandit Part 3. This film was the 2nd highest grossing film of 1977 and it second only to Star Wars. Burt Reynolds (in the middle, looking through the camera) and director Hal Needham (beside Burt and looking at him with a smiling face) are seen here in this picture.
