John Dykstra : Star Wars (1977)

This still was taken on the set of Star Wars (1977). This is John Dykstra and he is preparing X-Wing Fighter model for the film Star Wars (1977). He is a special effects artist and pioneer in the development of the use of computers in filmmaking. He was responsible for invention of the Dykstraflex motion-control computerized camera system for the movie Star Wars (1977). Dykstra and his team was lucky enough to win Academy Awards for best special effects and special technical achievement for this film.
