Behind the scenes of the aerial climax between David and Michael Emerson from the film The Lost Boys (1986). This photo could be of stunt doubles David Burton (blonde-haired) and Randy Hall (the other one) setting up the shot, some of which was filmed in September 1986 for this film. The Lost Boys is an American horror comedy film directed by Joel Schumacher, starring Jason Patric, Corey Haim, Kiefer Sutherland, Jami Gertz, Corey Feldman, Dianne Wiest, Edward Herrmann, Alex Winter, Jamison Newlander, and Barnard Hughes. Critical reception was generally positive.

This photo was taken on the set of the film The Texas Chain Saw Massacre (1974). The director Tobe Hooper is posing for this picture. The Texas Chain Saw Massacre is considered as on of the best horror movie in cinema history. Hooper produced the film for less than $300,000 and used a cast of relatively unknown actors drawn mainly from central Texas, where the film was shot. The limited budget forced Hooper to film for long hours seven days a week, so that he could finish as quickly as possible and reduce equipment rental costs. Soon after the initial release, numerous theaters stopped showing the film due to its violence. While it initially drew a mixed reception from critics, it was enormously profitable, grossing over $30 million at the domestic box office. The popularity of the film led to a franchise that continued the story of Leatherface (the killer) and his family through sequels, remakes, one prequel, comic books and video games

The popularity of the film led to a franchise that continued the story of Leatherface (the killer) and his family through sequels, remakes, one prequel, comic books and video games Tobe Hooper #tobehooper, #thetexaschainsawmassacre

This photo was captured on the set of the film Zabriskie Point (1970). It is an American drama film directed by Michelangelo Antonioni, widely noted at the time for its setting in the counterculture of the United States in the late 1960s. Some of the film's scenes were shot on location at Zabriskie Point in Death Valley. Zabriskie Point was a commercial failure and it has been considered to be one of the worst films of all time. However it has achieved somewhat of a cult status and is noted for its cinematography, use of music, and direction. The director Michelangelo Antonioni can be seen wearing a white shirt near the camera on the set of the film.

This behind the scene image is from the film The Fantastic Flying Books of Mr. Morris Lessmore (2011). For this film, a local construction team and small live action crew built and shot the miniatures, which were rendered at 1/6th scale for wider shots and 1/12th scale for closer views, such as the interior of the library. Here we can see that they are shooting miniatures with a small motion control rig on the set.

This rare photo was captured on the set of Poltergeist (1982). A ghost appears on the Freeling’s staircase. The way they did it was amazing. The actress, Paula Paulson, was dressed in white and shot on wires in front of a black screen. The footage was shot on 16mm, blown up to VistaVision, and composited into the scene.

The filmography of Alfred Hitchcock encompasses the earliest silent films on which he worked as a title designer through to his final completed directorial effort, which was in 1976. Hitchcock started his illustrious career in his native Britain, and after achieving success there, he moved to Hollywood, where he made many of his most famous and popular pictures. In 1972, Hitchcock returned to Britain to make Frenzy.

Some of his work has been compiled into collections, such as the DVD and Blu-ray set The Masterpiece Collection. In 2013, the nine surviving silent Hitchcock films were added to the UNESCO UK Memory of the World Register.[1]

In the following lists, "American films" means films that were created primarily in the US; "British films" means they were created primarily in the UK. These labels do not necessarily indicate where the action in the film takes place. For example: Waltzes from Vienna is set in Vienna, but made in England; Rebecca is set in Britain, although entirely filmed in the US; much of Notorious takes place in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil and contains some genuine footage of the area, but was primarily shot in the US; The Paradine Case is set in Britain and contains genuine footage of the Lake District, but was primarily filmed in the US; Under Capricorn is set in Australia but entirely shot in the US.
