The director F. W. Murnau listens to his cast on the set of the film, Sunrise: A Song of Two Humans (1927). It is an American silent romantic drama film directed by Murnau and starring George O'Brien, Janet Gaynor, and Margaret Livingston. Murnau chose to use the then new Fox Movietone sound-on-film system, making Sunrise one of the first feature films with a synchronized musical score and sound effects soundtrack. This film won three Awards and it is considered as one of the greatest films ever made.
